Heather Hicks currently serves as an Associate Executive Director of Venture 1:9.  Venture 1:9 is a not-for-profit agency that serves faith-based leaders and their organizations providing training, individual coaching and granting services. She has worked with US & international non-profits for the past 36 years in various roles including consulting and board service. She loves to partner with leaders to help them fulfill their God-given callings, all for the glory of God!

Heather first engaged with MentorKids in 2004 as a 1 on 1 mentor.  She and her mentee have maintained that relationship since then.  She has witnessed the impact of the Promise Neighborhood strategy and is eager to serve on the MentorKids USA Board of Directors.

Heather holds a BA in Education and a Masters in Biblical Counseling with various specialization certificates in non-profit leadership and organizational development, fundraising, cultural intelligence, leadership coaching, employee engagement and care, crisis response, and grief, trauma and stress management.

Heather grew up in the great Northwest, loves being outdoors, enjoys adventures big and small and has traveled and worked extensively abroad. She now enjoys living in sunny Arizona closer to her aging parents.
