About This Role
MentorKids USA is seeking a LEAD Program Coordinator for our Maryvale after-school and summer program. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role serving up to 80 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, centered on three pillars: Academic Success, Spiritual Growth, and Leadership Development.You’ll help oversee the day-to-day operations of the program, lead enrichment activities, support staff, volunteers, and iLEADers, and create a safe, welcoming, and values-aligned environment for students and families in Maryvale.
The ideal candidate is proactive, relational, and organized, with experience in youth ministry, education, or a related field. Strong classroom or behavior management skills, a heart for discipleship, and a genuine commitment to engaging youth, families, and the community are essential for this role.
Key QualificationsA growing and vibrant Christian faith
Minimum 2 years of youth ministry, teaching, or related experience preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required
Must be 21+ with a valid Arizona driver’s license
Must pass fingerprint clearance

You'll lead daily lessons, guide a small volunteer team, and be a consistent presence for kids and families in South Phoenix. Experience in education or youth work is helpful — but the right heart and a genuine commitment to community matter just as much.
