Neighborhood Ministries is a holistic Christian outreach to low-income families and at-risk children in inner city Phoenix, Arizona. MentorKids USA partners with Neighborhood Ministries in one of their youth programs, providing the structure and support for one-to-one mentoring.

Long Island Youth Mentoring’s mission is to assist the Christian church on Long Island in the responsible evangelism of at risk youth and their families, providing them with hope through caring relationships and developmental opportunities for the whole person (spiritual, mental, physical, social).

One child, one hour is the heart of KIDS HOPE USA. One caring adult mentoring an at-risk child one hour every week. Because when kids feel loved and valued, they are better able to learn, grow, and succeed.  2007 will bring a collaboration with MentorKids USA and Kids Hope USA in an amazing program in the Maryvale Community Initiative.

The Lehman Design Group is Tom Lehman’s, PGA Tour Winner and 2006 Ryder Cup Captain, endeavor into golf course design with “A Different Angle of Approach.” Tom Lehman's initial foray into golf course design came about in 1996 when he started work on The Gallery North Course and Troy Burne projects in which he collaborated with John Fought and Hurdzan/Fry respectively. Since those two initial projects Tom has nine more designs and redesigns to his credit, spanning from California to Florida.  Tom also hosts, and has for the last 6 years, MentorKids USA’s major annual fundraiser, The Tom Lehman Golf Invitational.

Christian Association of Youth Mentoring (CAYM) is an association of professional mentoring organizations that are distinctively Christian in their approach and objectives. Members recruit mentors for their programs who attest to a statement of faith based on Biblical values and beliefs. MentorKids USA has been instrumental in the establishment of CAYM, and our Board member, Jon Gibson, serves on the CAYM board of directors.

The Christian Mentoring Institute (CMI) is the teaching a training ministry of Long Island Youth Guidance, and helps churches and Christian ministries reach at-risk kids and families through mentoring. Long Island Youth Guidance has been instrumental throughout our history, and currently serves as the training arm of CYMA.

The National Mentor Partnership hosts a website, providing resources, research, and a listing of mentoring programs throughout the United States.

MentorKids USA began in 1997 in collaboration with Prison Fellowship Ministries (PFM) as Phoenix MatchPoint. MatchPoint was a program developed by PFM and Phoenix MatchPoint served as a model for other PFM affiliates. In 2003, Phoenix MatchPoint became MentorKids USA, maintaining a strong working relationship with PFM on both the local and national level.

Real Man Ministries, together with Adopt-A-Block, a program of Phoenix First Assembly of God, have teamed together with MentorKids USA to provide “The Father’s House,” a ministry to teach at-risk kids life skills in a group setting.

MentorKids USA works with local churches to recruit mentors and to provide an avenue in which the church can reach out to their local community through mentoring at-risk youth.
